Justin Bieber Leaves Tyler, The Creator 'Starstruck'

Odd Future MC dreams of crafting a '90s-R&B-style beat for JB.

It may be a stretch to call Tyler the Creator a Belieber, but the Odd Future maestro is a definite Justin Bieber fan.

"I met Justin back in February. He's a cool kid and sh--," Tyler told MTV News. "When I got in there, he was talkin' about the 'Yonkers' video and sh--. It was weird, because I was sitting here starstruck, like, 'Oh, f---, it's Bieber. He's asking me questions.' I'm like, 'Shut the f--- up so I can talk to you.' "

The outspoken rapper/producer may not have been able to get a word in edgewise, but he isn't deterred: He still has dreams of crafting a track for the Biebs. So is the OFWGKTA terror going pop? Not exactly.

"I just want to make '90s R&B, like break beats, hard drums with pretty chords and sh--," Tyler said of the type of track he'd make for Justin. "I really want to do that. Like, I be listening to Brandy or the first three Mary J. [Blige] albums and sh-- and Faith [Evans] and Zhané and sh--. That sh-- is awesome."

Bieber is no stranger to hip-hop. On top of collaborating with Kanye West and Raekwon on a remix of "Runaway Love," his upcoming holiday album features Busta Rhymes. On their version of "Little Drummer Boy," Bieber's rap alter ego, Shawty Mane, even gets in on the action. "If you really think about it, it's genius, because it's rapping on a Christmas album ... and, like, I'm rapping on it. And then it's singing," he explained to us during the "MTV First" premiere of his "Mistletoe" video. "It's cool. [Busta's] got, like, a percussive voice to him [and] the beat was so crazy."

The Wolf Gang's knack for pushing the envelope and risqué content may make him and the Biebs an odd match. On October 11, Tyler released a video for "BSD," a sexually explicit track from his Goblin LP and on the same day sent this tweet: "This Video Prolly F---ed Over My Chances Of Ever Working With Bieber. F--- It."

Even if he doesn't get to work with Justin, Tyler's still a fan. "He's chill as f---, though," Tyler said.

Justin Bieber Hopes People 'Remember' Under The Mistletoe

JB was inspired by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men — also collaborators on the album — to make a holiday LP.

Justin Bieber managed to deck the halls and stack the decks when it came to collaborations for his November 1 holiday album, Under the Mistletoe, with everyone from Mariah Carey and Usher to Boyz II Men and the Band Perry — and even Busta Rhymes! — popping up on the record.

And some of those collaborators are even behind the idea for Bieber making a Christmas album in the first place, as he revealed to us during Tuesday's "MTV First" premiere of his "Mistletoe" video.

"I love Boyz II Men's Christmas album, I love Mariah Carey's Christmas album, and luckily enough, I got them both on my album," he said. "So that was amazing. I wanted to make a Christmas album that everyone would remember. Those are albums that people remember, so to have them be able to collaborate with me was incredible."

Another collabo Bieber is excited about is his version of "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" with mentor Usher, which he revealed Wednesday (October 19) on Facebook would be the next single to arrive. Bieber thanked his fans for their support of the "Mistletoe" video, writing, "u guys got it to #1 worldwide. ... and next tuesday we are putting out THE CHRISTMAS SONG (Chesnuts) with Usher!!"

The song is a mixed bag of original tunes as well as brand-new songs Bieber hopes will one day become classics. "I just picked my favorite Christmas songs. I picked 'Silent Night,' I picked 'Santa [Claus Is] Coming to Town,' because everyone loves those songs. Those are classics," he said. "They get people excited for Christmas," he continued. "And then, for songs that we wrote, we wanted to make enough new songs for people to hear new music and not just hear some classics. There's a lot of new stuff on there."

Considering that the holidays are the perfect time to give back, portions of the sales from the album will go to charities like Pencils of Promise and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. But Bieber isn't waiting until then to give back: "We donated $10,000 to the food bank where I grew up, and I used to actually get food from there," he said. "It was an incredible feeling, just because they were needing a lot of stuff, and it made me feel good."

What's your favorite Christmas album? Let us know in the comments!

Britney Spears GIF-ting Fans With 'Criminal' Teases

One of five gifs posted online includes footage of Spears with boyfriend Jason Trawick.

It's a big week for music video premieres thanks to Justin Bieber, Beyoncé and Rihanna. And Britney Spears wants in on the fun too, as her "Criminal" video is also set to drop this week. Spears gave fans a taste of what to expect with a series of GIFs at Tumblr.

The five GIFs begin to weave together the story of the Chris Marrs Piliero-directed video. In one tease, Spears is all dolled up in a lacy cocktail dress as she attends a glamorous party. In another tease, Spears is seen running out of a building with gun in hand.

Another tease represents art imitating life. In it, Spears and real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick, who also plays her love interest in the video, share a kiss. The other two teases are a bit less action-oriented as she's just spotted standing around looking sexy in a black lingerie dress and twirling her hair around.

Spears looks incredibly glam in the teases for the slow jam's video, something that Piliero teased on Twitter recently. "Not a whole lot I'm allowed to say about the @britneyspears criminal vid other than that I love this video and can't wait for it to come out," he wrote. "Oh and that she looks gorgeous in it ... pretty sure it's cool for me to say that. ..."

The video is expected to drop this week, although the exact release date hasn't been announced.

Spears shot the video last month in London, right before kicking off the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour. Little is known about the plot of the video, but when Spears was photographed carrying a prop gun on set, politicians in the U.K. accused the star of glorifying violence after the London riots. The video was shot in Hackney, which was hit hard by the August riots, and local politicians were upset by what they saw as an insensitive gesture by Spears.

"It is only a music video, but it's images like this, with pop stars glamorizing gangs, which means that some young people ... get drawn in," Hackney's Member of Parliament Diane Abbott told the ITV news program "London Tonight." "Britney should really know better."

Spears' camp shrugged off any criticism in a statement to MTV News: "The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney's boyfriend, Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened."

One is helping to reshape dance music for the 2000s and the other helped transform music ... period. The O Music Awards 2 have added some heavy hitters to the roster with the announcement that Robyn will headline the October 31 show and the Flaming Lips will pay tribute to late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs during the broadcast.

Robyn will take the main stage at the awards show, set to unfold at an as-yet-undisclosed location in Los Angeles at 11:30 p.m. ET. The live, multiplatform event celebrating the artists, innovators and fans who are constantly transforming digital music culture will open with the Swedish singer's performance (one of several during the show), which will be broadcast on MTV. The rest of the event will unfold on a number of the Viacom Music Group's websites, including MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com, LogoTV.com and MTVHive.com, as well as mobile.

Oklahoma's Lips will pay tribute to the Apple co-founder — who died of pancreatic cancer on October 5 — by performing the Beatles' "Revolution"; the performance will be recorded on an iPad and broadcast on the O Music site.

Additional presenters and performers include Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Alabama Shakes, Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator, Travie McCoy, Midi Mafia and DJ Diamond Kuts. More performers and presenters will be announced throughout the week. MTV's signature online awards show will also attempt to make it into the Guinness record books again by hosting the longest dance party in history, and there will be plenty of star wattage on hand to help celebrate should the dancers break the 24-hour barrier.

The dance marathon will aim to raise awareness for LGBT youth issues, especially bullying, by giving fans a chance to donate to a number of organizations during the live stream. Among the groups that will benefit from the record attempt are:

GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), It Gets Better, the Gay Straight Alliance Network, Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). Viewers will also be able to use social media to support the cause and cheer on their favorite dancers.

In addition, fans can participate via the O Music Awards Facebook page, Twitter and Tumblr. The "Longest Dance Party" event will be live-streamed at the O Music Awards site beginning on October 29 from the Roxy Theatre on Los Angeles' famed Sunset Strip.

Since voting began on September 27, more than 12 million votes have been cast. Fans can continue to vote via the O Music Awards site. The fan that drives the most votes will appear in the live show.

The leading nominees for O Music awards include Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator (Most Outrageous Tweet and Best Web-Born Artists), Lady Gaga (Fan Army FTW and Must Follow Artist on Twitter), the Weeknd (Best Web-Born Artist and Too Much Ass for TV), Katy Perry (Best Lyrics Video and Best Artist With a Cameraphone), Justin Bieber (Fan Army FTW and Best Artist With a Cameraphone), Demi Lovato (Fan Army FTW and Best Artist With a Cameraphone), Sinéad O'Connor (Oops! I Did It Online Award and Best Vintage Viral Video) and Adam Lambert (Fan Army FTW and Must Follow Artist on Twitter), all of whom grabbed two nods.

Other nominated artists include Cher, Nirvana, Lil Wayne, Iron Maiden, Dolly Parton, Björk, Wayne Coyne, Scissor Sisters, Best Coast and Big Freedia.

The O Music Awards 2 will unfold on Halloween on OMusicAwards.com, as well as MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com, LogoTV.com and MTVHive.com. Fans can vote for their favorites and get updates at OMusicAwards.com.
