Conrad Murray Documentary To Air Friday

'Michael Jackson and the Doctor' will premiere on MSNBC.

Just five days after his conviction on a felony count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, a documentary about Dr. Conrad Murray will air on MSNBC.

The special, "Michael Jackson and the Doctor," will include footage of Murray insisting that Jackson "begged and pleaded" for the surgical anesthetic propofol. It will hit the airwaves a few days after Murray settled into Los Angeles County Jail, where he is awaiting a November 29 sentencing hearing following his conviction.

"He asked me, 'Please, please, Dr. Conrad ... I need some milk [propofol] so that I can sleep," Murray says in the special, according to MSNBC. "If I don't get any sleep today, I cannot perform, I cannot do anything."

After nearly 10 hours of deliberation, the jury in the Murray case came back with a unanimous guilty verdict, agreeing the doctor acted in a fashion that caused Jackson's death. The seven-man, five-woman jury made the decision after 49 witnesses and some bruising testimony from prosecution experts lashing Murray, a cardiologist with clinics in Texas and Las Vegas who was recruited in 2009 by Jackson to help the then-50-year-old star stay healthy in the run-up to his planned 50-date comeback tour, This Is It.

The prosecution brought a long list of medical experts and emergency-room doctors to the stand to testify that Murray had not followed proper procedure in dealing with Jackson when the singer was in distress on the morning of June 25, 2009. They also presented evidence that the care Murray provided for Jackson in the weeks and months leading up to that fateful morning were substandard or outside the bounds of legal and ethical requirements. The witnesses concluded that Murray lacked the proper monitoring equipment to administer the surgical anesthetic propofol to Jackson, an off-label use of the intravenously delivered drug that was reportedly employed to help chronic insomniac Jackson get to sleep.

According to TMZ, Murray signed on for the documentary back in 2009 just after MJ's death, and it will feature scenes of infighting among his defense team.

The MSNBC special will chronicle the trial from the perspective of Murray — who did not take the stand in the trial — and his defense team, including an interview with the doctor about the day Jackson died, in which he shares details about his relationship with the pop star.

In one segment, Murray describes Jackson's appearance the morning he died, saying the singer looked "hysterical" and was so distraught he resembled his ghoulish alter-ego from the iconic 1982 "Thriller" video. Cameras have followed Murray and his defense team for two years in compiling the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie's distributor also acquired the rights to an exclusive interview Murray gave to British broadcaster Steve Hewlett on October 30, which is reportedly the only interview Murray plans to give on the trial.

"I think in many ways, there were some mirror images in our lives," Murray says about MJ in the special. "I've seen him cry so many times. He lived a life greater than a hundred years of pain of any human."

The verdict is in on the Conrad Murray trial. Stick with MTV News for continued coverage, updates and analysis on MTVNews.com.

What do Britney Spears and Usher have in common? Well, they are both global superstars with a back catalogue of tunes that have kept fans dancing for a really long time and they both recently hooked up with will.i.am for tracks on their latest releases (the Black Eyed Peas mastermind worked on the pop vixen's Femme Fatale tune "Big Fat Bass"). And, if Spears has her way, she and the "OMG" singer could be hitting the road together.

When Spears sat down to talk with Sway Calloway for her "Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale" special — airing Sunday (April 3) at 9 p.m. ET on MTV — the singer revealed that Usher is first on her list of artists she'd like to join her on tour.

"Oh, I'm so excited. I'm really excited about going on tour, very," she explained about her forthcoming summer trek, which happens to have a spot open on the bill now that Enrique Iglesias has pulled out of the gig. "I think Usher's really great right now. I think he's really hot right now. That would be cool [to tour with him]."

The North American road trip is expected to kick off June 17 in Sacramento, California, and will run for 26 dates, winding up on August 13 in Toronto. More details will be announced soon.

The "Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale" special is a mixture of behind-the-scenes footage of the singer as she wraps up production on her album, which dropped this week, as well as an inside look at her life and fans. In addition, those who couldn't make Spears' recent nightclub show in Las Vegas will get to see her as she takes the stage in her latest pop incarnation.

Don't miss "Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale," airing Sunday (April 3) at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

Britney Spears Director Leads Us Through 'Criminal' Video

Chris Marrs Piliero takes us behind the crime sprees and 'sexy time.'

Britney Spears and real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick go on a sexy crime spree in her new "Criminal" video, which follows the pair around London as they hold up banks and convenience stores in between NSFW scenes of the duo getting physical in their hideout.

MTV News caught up with the director, Chris Marrs Piliero, who opened up about casting Trawick and the video's use of guns, leading us through the clip frame by frame.

The video opens with Spears and her rich boyfriend at a glamorous get-together. But things are not as pretty as the party itself. "So here we are at the fancy-schmancy par-tay, [and] one of my directions for her little turnaround reveal was in 'Can't Hardly Wait' when Jennifer Love Hewitt ... walks into the party. ... The actor who plays her d-----bag boyfriend, his name is Freddie, and actually it's his first acting role."

Britney then goes into the lady's room to cry about Freddie's jabs at her, and when she comes out, she sees him flirting with another woman. "For this, I wanted to come up with a really cool line," he said. "I was trying to come up with something that had attitude but was TV-safe, so we went with that," he explained about Britney's crack "So, you're not working the street corner tonight, I see."

When Britney does leave the party, dragged out by her boyfriend, Trawick's bad-boy character comes to the rescue. "The punching was just awesome," Piliero said. "We were watching that, and we were all looking at each other like, 'Is he really hitting him?' "

Of course, Spears gets in her kick to his groin too. "I love her face when she goes for the kick," he added. "She's so good at delivering those fun lines."

Eventually, Brit and Jason's attraction takes over, as they share a kiss and then a whole lot more. "It's time for sexy time," Piliero joked of their naked romp. "So during the bed sex scene, the first take that we did of it, I let the camera roll. ... From that point on, I was just calling out stuff, just directing them ... and it was a really smooth, comfortable experience, actually. And Jason is ripped beyond belief. It's kind of ridiculous."

Britney soon gets caught up in Jason's world of crime. Her first offense? Holding up a convenience store, where she also grabbed some vanilla candles, a nod to her real-life love of them. "There she is yelling at the guy," he said. "That was fun. She really got into it.

"[The] slo-mo shot of them running out [was] very, very cool," he continued. "I love when Jason just kind of throws the woman to the side."

Between crime sprees, the two make time for a very revealing shower scene. "Sexy time in the shower, which is just super hot," he said. "We did the shower scene after the bed scene.. so it was pretty painless and smooth."

The video ends up with the cops closing in on the pair with a parade of bullets being shot into their flat before they make their getaway, driving off into the sunset together.

"We got a bunch of cops here ready to shoot," he said. "Obviously, there's a lot of crime history here. That's why they're ready to go crazy and fire on them. To me, it's awesome to see this shot [because] this is exactly how I pictured it. Their kiss is magical and badass. It's a really epic, cool-looking scene."

Leighton Meester's Bridal Gown Getaway

Gearing up for what's sure to be one of the most memorable episodes to date, Leighton Meester filmed scenes for "Gossip Girl" on the streets of New York City last night (November 14).

Looking like a runaway bride, photogs snapped the 25-year-old actress dressed in an exquisite flowing wedding dress as she hurriedly dashed through Big Apple traffic to make her escape.

The emotional scene eludes to the possibility that Blair Waldorf may not go through with her much-talked about royal wedding after all.

Setting up what "Gossip Girl" executive producer Josh Safran said will be a "big and lavish and twisty and juicy" 100th episode, the conflicted bride-to-be will have to choose between her prince Louis and the love of her life Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).

Lupe Fiasco, Ludacris Added To Grammy Noms Concert

Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco and country duo Sugarland have been added to the lineup for the annual "Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!" (two exclamation points because it's just that exciting), set to air November 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

They join a list of performers that already includes Lady Gaga and country singer Jason Aldean, with LL Cool J once again serving as the master of ceremonies. In addition to the performances, nominees will be announced in several Grammy categories and, according to a press release from the Recording Academy, the show will also feature "a special, live announcement from a truly iconic group regarding their historic band reunion," set to take place at the upcoming Grammy Awards. (The ceremony will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 12 on CBS.)

While we can only speculate about just who will be doing the reuniting (classic Van Halen?), in recent years, an onstage reconciliation has become nearly as much a part of the Grammy telecast as the golden gramophone award itself, as everyone from Blink-182 to the Police have used the event to bury the hatchet and launch comeback tours.

And though we won't know all of the nominees until November 30, presumed frontrunners include Adele, whose 21 not only features two of the year's biggest singles, but is also the year's best-selling album; Katy Perry, who continues to string together an impressive series of hits; Rihanna; and Lady Gaga, all of whom have also dominated 2011.

"The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" will air live on November 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
