Chris Brown Is The Male Beyonce, Fat Joe Says

'You know, he's a sex symbol,' Joe Crack tells MTV News.

When it comes to Fat Joe's "Another Round" collaborator, Chris Brown, the Bronx MC holds the singer to a high standard. Breezy doesn't just bring his soulful vocals and soothing melodies to Joe's track, his appearance in the Colin Tilley-directed video also provides some eye candy for the ladies. "You know, that guy, he's like the 'guy Beyoncé,' " Joe joked to MTV News last week. In the clip, CB and a slimmed-down Joe Crack serenade a number of bikini-clad beauties on a golden beach. "Don't you be holding back your love," Breezy sings on the hook before assuring his lady that after making love with him she's sure to want "another round."

Brown really gets into it on the song's bridge and final hook. The blond (again) lothario splashes around in the ocean, tearing off his shirt as he puts more emotion into his vocals. Joe likened Brown's performance in "Another Round" to Queen B's performance in her 2006 video for "Déjà Vu," where she runs through a cornfield while singing for her special someone. Like most Beyoncé videos, the visuals were particularly exciting to her male fanbase. Joe said Breezy's "Another Round" appearance has been evoking a similar reaction with the rapper's female following. "This guy takes his shirt off — I played it for a couple of chicks before we released it and they just start goin' crazy and buggin' out like, 'Oh my God, yo,' " Joe laughed. "You know, he's a sex symbol."

Do you agree with Fat Joe comparing Chris Brown's sex appeal to Beyoncé's? Tell us in the comments!

Amber Rose Called Kim Kardashian 'Home Wrecker' Out Of Frustration

'I don't date men in relationships; I don't do that to other women,' Rose says on 'RapFix Live.'

Maybe "home wrecker" wasn't the best way to describe Kim Kardashian, but Amber Rose contends that she was defending herself when she recently told Star magazine that Kimmy and her former beau, Kanye West, were carrying on an affair behind Rose's back.

"I don't like to call women names, because I'm about women empowerment. I spoke on my emotions that day — I was just so frustrated," Rose told MTV News' Sway when she appeared on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday.

The rumor mill has been buzzing that it was Rose who caused the breakup between Kardashian and NFL star Reggie Bush. Amber does admit to dating Reggie, but she insists that it was after his relationship with Kim and after her romance with Kanye had ended.

It's all very accusatory, yet Amber maintains that Kardashian sent pictures of herself to West while he was still in a relationship with Rose. When Sway asked about the pictures, the "Fame" singer didn't want to comment any further, but she stood behind her original comments. "The story, it's true," she said.

What Amber couldn't stand behind was the name-calling. She says she called Kim a home wrecker out of frustration. "I hear that all the time, Sway, and I'm like, that's not true," Rose said of the rumor that she came between Bush and Kardashian.

Rose went on to reenact her Star interview, paraphrasing what she told the reporter. "Kim is the home wrecker, I'm not the home wrecker. I don't date men in relationships; I don't do that to other women," Amber said. "I got frustrated and I said it."

Part of the frustration came from the media-savvy Kardashian family, Amber said. "I feel like Kim and her family, they manipulate the media and they want people to believe what they want them to believe," she said. "I just had to put the truth out there and I had to get it off my chest."

The stately model, who is now dating Wiz Khalifa (and seems very happy, we must say), explained that she and Bush dated briefly in a rebound relationship after she split with 'Ye and he split with Kim, but there was no affair between them. "We were both kind of, like, hurt," she said. "We were each other's rebounds, basically. It was nothing serious. We didn't love each other. We just became good friends, basically."

Justin Bieber Should 'Stay Strong,' Usher Says

'All of this comes with the territory,' Ush tells MTV News of paternity-suit drama.

Usher might not have known how big Justin Bieber would become when he discovered him a few years back, but he was pretty sure he had found something special.

Since Bieber burst on the scene with his My World EP back in 2009, the 17-year-old has grown up with the world watching. He's gone from up-and-comer to full-fledged pop sensation, racking up chart-topping albums and a box-office hit and becoming an all-around mega-heartthrob — all in two years. Of course, with the good does come negative attention as well. Recently, Bieber was hit with a paternity lawsuit, which has since been dropped. Usher, no stranger to his own controversies, had these words for the Biebs: "Stay strong. And know that all of this comes with the territory." Aside from the drama, Usher is especially proud of Bieber's charitable side. His mentor said he "absolutely" knew the kid from Stratford, Ontario, had a big heart from the start. "To write a check is only half of it, but when you truly take on a responsibility to be a philanthropist, you accept an effort, and I really think that Pencils of Promise is something that has a very bright future," Usher told MTV News at an event for the charity, noting that Bieber is a only a small part of it. Usher — who appears on Bieber's new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe — gives credit to the folks surrounding the teen superstar, including manager Scooter Braun. "Just judging from the determination and the will power of the entire team around Justin, I see a very, very promising [future] for him as a philanthropist," Usher said.

'Hunger Games' Looking Fierce In Movie Brawl Elite Eight

What's your pick for the must-see movie of 2012? Cast your vote now!

Tim Tebow ain't got nothing on the MTV Movie Brawl 2012. Sure, the granter of all-American dreams and thrower of game-winning touchdowns showed some playoff heroics last weekend, but the action in MTV's cinematic tournament had movie groupies alternately sweating, cursing and celebrating just as much as Denver Bronco fans.

To wit, two of Robert Pattinson's upcoming films, "Bel Ami" and "Cosmopolis," faced off in a Sweet Sixteen matchup that was decided by three votes. Tens of thousands of votes were cast, and three clicks launched "Cosmopolis" to victory. On the other side of the bracket, #7 seed "The Woman in Black," an indie horror flick, looked like it didn't have a chance against Universal's big-budget "Snow White and the Huntsman." But Daniel Radcliffe fans came out in force to support the boy wizard's first post-"Harry Potter" flick, showing up Kristen Stewart devotees with a healthy serving of get the hell out of this tournament! When the final tally came in, more than 250,000 votes had been cast, and KStew's fairy tale was headed home with a lot of explaining to do.

Vote For Your Favorite Upcoming Flick In MTV's Movie Brawl 2012!

As least she's still alive in the Brawl, as "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" came through with a commanding victory over "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," despite the nefarious meddling of "Hunger Games" fans, who were furiously voting for "Phantom Menace" in an attempt to send the vampires to a humiliating defeat. It didn't work. "HG" fans, though, weren't the only ones trying to pull off a bit of bracket-based strategery. "Breaking Dawn" voters came out in force to support "Prometheus" in its fight with "Hunger Games." Once again, the gambit didn't work. But it showed just how merciless this competition is going to be as we inch toward the finals.

Let's take a look at where we stand as the Elite Eight kicks into high gear.

Upper West Region
It's all Pattinson, all the time, as "Breaking Dawn" faces off against "Cosmopolis." The key question here for Twi-fans is whether they're going to vote for RPattz as he's been or RPattz as he's going to be. Will it be out with the old and in with the new, or will the sparkly vampires reign supreme? If you ask us, "Breaking Dawn" ain't going nowhere, but this tourney isn't up to us.

Lower West Region
It's getting dark up in here! "The Dark Knight Rises" limped into the Sweet Sixteen after a disappointing first-round showing, and we were fearful Christopher Nolan's film would face an early ouster at the hands of "Marvel's The Avengers." That didn't happen, and now "Dark Knight" faces a weakened "Dark Shadows" in the Elite Eight. Johnny Depp's upcoming film surprised us all with an outstanding opening-round performance, leading to a #2 seed. But "Shadows" struggled in its matchup, needing up until the final hours of play to put the match away. Momentum is everything in the playoffs, so we have to say "Dark Knight" is in the driver's seat in this game.

Upper East Region
Were it not for the savvy scheming of "Twilight" fans, "Hunger Games" might have walked away from the Sweet Sixteen with the greatest margin of victory in the entire tournament. As it stands, "HG" heads into the Elite Eight with perhaps the easiest matchup of all. "John Carter" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" fought back and forth for days, with leads changing hands and the ultimate victor too close to call until an eleventh-hour surge sent "G.I. Joe" ahead. That leaves us wondering if the sequel has enough left in the gas tank to pull off a win. Actually, we're not wondering at all: shut off the lights and put the kids to bed: "Hunger Games" has this in the bag.

Lower East Region
Voters in this region are still reeling from the unexpected departure of "Snow White." There's no time to rest, though. "Woman in Black" has established itself as a dark horse in the Brawl — one that could threaten "Hunger Games" in the Final Four. Before then, however, Radcliffe's flick will have to battle a resurgent "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey." Peter Jackson's film waged a hard-fought war with Emma Watson's "Perks of Being a Wallflower" and came out with a narrow 3 percent victory. That's some impressive stuff. Can "Hobbit" keep it going? Is there anything that can keep "Woman in Black" from a trip to the Final Four? We've got until January 16 to decide. That's when voting in the Elite Eight ends. There are no excuses in the Movie Brawl. Get busy voting!

What are you waiting for? Your must-see movie needs your support. It's time to show character, poise and heart. Vote for your picks now at MTV Movie Brawl 2012!

Adele Notches Best Sales Year Since Usher's Confessions

In 2011, 21 moved more than 5.6 million copies in the U.S.

The music industry has been stuck in a rut for nearly a decade. But every once in a while, it still manages to produce one of those unstoppable hit albums that give everyone that good old feeling.

This year's model is Adele's 21, which not only sold more copies than any other album in the U.S. in 2011 (more than 5.6 million to date), but which has also moved the most units of any artist since 2004. According to a Reuters report, those gaudy figures (which top 15 million worldwide) make the British songbird the first artist to cross the 5 million mark in one year since Usher did it with his fourth studio album, Confessions, which sold 7.9 million units more than seven years ago. And to think she did it by releasing just two mega singles, "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You," and barely touring North America due to recurring vocal issues.
There have been other big hits along the way to Adele's mark, including Eminem selling more than 3.4 million copies of his comeback Recovery album last year and Taylor Swift taking the honors in 2009 with Fearless, which sold 3.2 million copies. But none have come as close to Usher's mark in the interim. There doesn't seem to be any chance Adele will be surpassed by the end of the year: The closest contenders are Lady Gaga's Born This Way (2.08 million) and Michael Bublé's Christmas (2.4 million). The other good news is that overall music sales are expected to be up slightly (3 percent) by the end of this year, marking the first time that's happened since 2004.

Justin Bieber Kicks Off New Year With New Track

Pop star debuts 'Happy New Year,' a swaggerfied slow jam featuring Jaden Smith.

Justin Bieber isn't new to creating holiday songs using his new-millennium, R&B swagger, as evidenced on his Christmas album, Under The Mistletoe. And this weekend, he gave New Year's a try. The singer tweeted a New Year's-themed track, "Happy New Year," which features his pal Jaden Smith rapping.

The slow jam is certainly swaggerfied but also reflective, featuring lyrics that both play up the singer's pop-star image and look ahead to a more hopeful year. "I'm gonna make your cheeks red when I kiss your neck/Girl I'm never leavin' 'cause you are the best baby," he sings. "I wanna give you everything/Never feel 'cause girl you're coming home with me." In a spoken breakdown, he says, "2012 is the year to be better, stronger and closer to the people around you. So grab someone special, and just, you know." Smith also shows some bad-boy personality and proves that rapping runs in the Smith DNA. He raps, " 'Cause 2012 is the year of the love/And we gon' start it off/We can get a plane today and get a car toma'/We don't do it small at all/No girl tell me what I gotta to do/I can be the beat that you rockin' to/I can do anything, nothing is impossible, especially with you girl/And I never need a new girl/This love is true girl/Aye welcome to the crew girl." Not only was Bieber gracing fans with new tracks over the weekend, but he also took the stage during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2012" in Times Square, not far from where his lady love Selena Gomez was hosting "NYE in NYC 2012." The twosome later partied together at Glass House, E! News reports. A source says, "He...danced with Selena, showing off, picking her up and swinging her around like it was 'Dancing With the Stars.' " Bieber recently debuted another track"Be Alright," during his holiday special, "Justin Bieber: Home For The Holidays." He's expected to drop his new album, Believe, later this year. <a href="http://www.facebook.com/mtvnews"target="_blank">Want Exclusive Justin Bieber News and Video? Katy Perry, Tim Tebow A Possbility?

Could there be a possible Katy Perry, Tim Tebow relationship? Well, maybe if the singer?s parents get their way. It?s all over the web today. The strangest combination of names you can think of: a professional quarterback who is more popular off the field, and a singer who just had her heart broken. Why are they even being mentioned together? It all started in an article printed by OK! Magazine, which says that Katy has always had a thing for Tim. Her parents are also big time bible thumpers, which probably means they would drink Tebow?s bath water if they had to. The magazine quotes a ?source,? who said ?Katy?s mom firmly believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again? In her mind, Tebow is the perfect guy for her daughter?? Wouldn?t he be the perfect guy for ANYONE?S daughter? I mean he?s handsome, and seems like he has his head on straight. The whole ?GB2? ? which means ?Go Broncos? and ?God Bless? is super-viral right now. Photos of people doing the ?Tebowing? stance are showing up world wide. He is a superstar. Guess who else is a superstar right now? That?s right, Katy [...]

Adam Lambert's 'Whole Lotta Love': The Story Behind The Cover

Glam rocker tackled the legendary 1970 Led Zeppelin song for 'American Idol' rock night.
By Gil Kaufman

Photo: R. Mickshaw/Getty Images/ Fox

Imagine a freight train speeding toward you at midnight. Or a rockslide barreling down a hill as you try to outrace it. That's the feeling of the ominous, chugging Jimmy Page riff that kicks off <MTVNLINK type="url" id="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</MTVNLINK>'s 1970 Stonehenge of rock, "Whole Lotta Love." And that's before singer Robert Plant leans into one of the nastiest, ecstatic rock screams this side of the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again." That's the song Adam Lambert chose to sing on "American Idol" rock night Tuesday (May 5), and, needless to say, it was a challenge that the eyeliner-loving Los Angeles stage veteran was more than up for, hitting a series of high notes and rock screams that would have made Plant proud. It was a risky maneuver that paid off for Lambert, who chose a tune that came in at #75 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004.

The legendary British rock act recorded the tribute to Chicago blues icon Willie Dixon during their second U.S. tour after working it out in their live show, including it on their 1969 classic album Led Zeppelin II. Like many of the songs Zeppelin performed early in their career, "Love" was a blues standard turned on its head with a heavy dose of crunching psychedelic guitar and thundering drums, courtesy of late drummer John Bonham. The song was based on a 1962 tune by another blues forefather, Muddy Waters, called "You Need Love," which was penned by Dixon. For Zeppelin's version, Plant customized the lyrics by adding some lyrical quotes from a few other songs Dixon wrote for Howlin' Wolf, "Back Door Man" and "Shake For Me," nailing the tricky vocal in a single take. It was also inspired by 1966's "You Need Loving" from the British rock group the Small Faces, for whom Zeppelin had great affection, but they also did not credit Dixon for his part in writing the original lyrics. The song became Zeppelin's first U.S. single and their only U.S. top 10 hit. Though their manager would not let them release singles in the U.K. because he thought it cannibalized album sales, the song was finally released as the band's only British single in 1997. Dixon sued Zeppelin over the song in 1985, claiming it borrowed too heavily from his "You Need Love," and Zeppelin reached an agreement with him, with Dixon using the money he received to set up a program that provided musical instruments for schools. A cornerstone of heavy rock, the tune -- which was the theme song for the long-running British countdown show "Top of the Pops" in the 1970s and '80s -- has been covered by dozens of artists over the years, from Tina Turner and Ben Harper to Prince, Slash, Leona Lewis, Train's Pat Monahan, the London Symphony Orchestra and Jane's Addiction. Get your "Idol" fix on MTV News' "American Idol" page, where you'll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.
